Heather Lloyd has stepped down after seven years at the helm, making way for Lisa Ladas.
“Heather was a terrific president,” secretary Lolene James said.
“She was an enthusiastic, energetic leader with great ideas.”
Some events carried out in her time included mannequin parades, high teas, garden parties at her homestead Fairley Downs, successful films twice a year and Bunnings barbecues.
Leadership team: Secretary Lolene James, past president Heather Lloyd, new president Lisa Ladas and treasurer Madge Merrylees.
The auxiliary is looking forward to the future under the leadership of Ms Ladas and hoping to get more events happening after the disruptions of COVID-19, including focusing on fundraising for the Mary Coram Rehabilitation Unit and Grutzner House.
The auxiliary is working towards a ‘Plant Open Day’ to be held the weekend before Mother’s Day at 34 Canterbury Ave, Shepparton, with entry $5 and a cuppa and biscuits $5.
More members are welcomed to join the auxiliary, with inquiries to Ms James on 0408 219 182.
Meetings are held monthly with lunch afterwards at Riverlinks Eastbank’s Encore Cafe in Shepparton.
