With a kick separating scores for most of the first half at RMIT University Bundoora, the Bushrangers found an edge in the third term to head into the final quarter seven points clear.
But despite being the more efficient of the two sides — with 20 less inside 50 entries and 66 fewer possessions — the Bushrangers couldn't stop a fast finishing Jets outfit, who rallied to level the scores before the final siren.
Seymour's Chloe Locke was again among the action for the Bushrangers, with the 17-year-old finishing with seven disposals, two tackles and a mark.
The Bushrangers (0-1-1) currently sit eighth on the ladder with a bye scheduled for round three.
They’ll return to the field on Saturday, March 21 to play Gippsland Power at Trevor Barker Beach Oval in Sandringham.
