Mock wedding filled with love and laughter

The Deniliquin Rovers Clubrooms were packed on Saturday night as players, supporters and friends gathered for the club’s hilarious Mock Wedding Theme Night – Till Mock Do Us Part.

The evening began with a lively hen’s and bucks party complete with games, plenty of laughs and refreshments before the crowd gathered for the ceremony.

The bride, Sophie Dudley, and groom, Darby Watson, then ‘exchanged vows’ in front of the cheering crowd in a light-hearted ceremony officiated by the club’s very own ‘priest’, John Glowrey.

Sophie’s family even made a surprise appearance to witness the comedic nuptials.

In true Rovers style, the happy couple signed their marriage certificate – a giant whiteboard – before sharing their first dance as husband and wife.

Guests quickly followed them onto the dance floor, keeping the celebrations going well into the night.

DJ duo Jordy and Aden kept the party pumping, spinning everything from romantic slow songs to crowd favourites that had the floor packed.
