Originally scheduled to close today, interested people now have until Monday morning.
The selection committee asked for the concession to apply further rigour to the recruitment process, to ensure the committee has all the information required to make an informed recommendation to the board.
The additional time will enable nominees to cater for these new requirements.
Nominations will be reviewed by the committee on Monday, with virtual video interviews commencing Tuesday.
It is expected these will be concluded by May 3.
The selection committee includes Seftons managing director Robbie Sefton, KM & WM Kelly & Sons chairman and director Chris Kelly and Blink Connect founder and director Jennie Grigg.
There are three vacancies on the board following the resignations of Steve Fawns, Troy Mauger and Brendan Barry.
Their resignations took effect at the end of the company general meeting on April 10, at which motions moved by the trio to remove the board’s non-shareholders directors Robert Burbury and Trish Gorman were lost.
Their departures leave the board with only four members - the two independent directors, chairman Phil Snowden and deputy chair Lachlan Marshall.
The board must have at least six members to be operational.
Written nominations, including a CV and cover letter, must be lodged with Murray Irrigation’s returning officer either in person, via post or email by 9am Monday.
Nominations received after this deadline will not be considered.
For further information on how to submit your nomination and what to include in your cover letter can be found on the company website - www.murrayirrigation.com.au/directornominations.
