Mark your calendar for this Saturday, October 4, for the launch of Love Murchison, a community event inspired by the people of the town and the many organisations within it.
You can expect three hours of energy, fun activities for all ages, and attractions everyone will enjoy.
But this isn’t just an event for Murchison locals — the wider community is invited, too.
Neighbourhood House Murchison manager Jessie Boer hopes everyone will come to town and join the fun.
“Everyone should come along to see what there is on offer in our town,” Mrs Boer said.
“It’s not just a beautiful spot with some shops — there are so many not-for-profit community groups that make Murchison a truly vibrant and welcoming town.
"An event like this shows our town is about giving back, and we welcome everyone to join in.
“It’s the last weekend of the school holidays, and there is lots on offer for the kids."
For the little ones, there’s a free jumping castle, an animal display with one-on-one interactions, and exciting games from Activities in the Park.
Car enthusiasts are in for a treat, with Valley Custom Rodders displaying a collection of beautiful vintage cars.
And throughout the three hours, The Ludlow Twins will perform live, adding even more energy to the event.
Running from 11am to 2pm at the Murchison Cricket Oval, the event will also have a variety of hot food and refreshments, so everyone can grab a bite while enjoying the attractions.
Local creators will be selling their goods, and community organisations will be present in high spirits.
Neighbourhood House Murchison, Murchison SES and CFA, the Men’s Shed, Historical Society, the primary school, and the swimming pool are just some of the groups taking part, making Love Murchison a true showcase of the town’s vibrant community spirit.
“Murchison is all about community, so bringing all the organisations together in one setting sets a benchmark for community spirit,” Mrs Boer said.
“Hopefully, people will feel inspired and more connected after attending.
“Mark your calendar — see you Saturday!”
