Nick Munari, who has loved ones buried in the old cemetery, said while the lawn section was regularly mowed, the old, monumental section was “neglected”.
“It’s an absolute disgrace,” he said.
“People pay fees to be interred in the place, but I don’t know where that’s going.”
Maintained: Some areas of the cemetery have been maintained while others have been left.
Mr Munari said he phoned the Seymour Cemetery Trust three months ago regarding the issue, but it was not followed up.
“It had always been kept pristine, and I want it rectified,” he said.
Sue Anderson from the Seymour Cemetery Trust acknowledged the lawns were not being maintained by the current maintenance employee, and said the trust was trying to resolve the issue.
She said the lawns at the monumental section were mowed last week, after The Telegraph visited to take photos.
“The lawn is a priority, because there’s always burials,” she said.
