Yarrawonga Police are unhappy after three local drivers were caught drink driving over the weekend.
A 33-year-old Yarrawonga male was intercepted leaving a licensed premises at 12.30 am on Saturday, May 25 and yielded a positive breath test. He was conveyed to the station, where he provided a positive evidential breath test of 0.098. A penalty notice was issued, and the male lost his license for six months.
A 36-year-old Yarrawonga woman was intercepted by police at 10.05 pm on Saturday, May 25, along Ferguson Road after police observed her failing to give way at an intersection. She provided a positive breath test and accompanied police to the station, where she returned a Breath Alcohol Concentration of 0.110. The accused was issued an immediate driving ban, received a penalty notice and also lost her license for 11 months.
Police were conducting a Breath Testing Site in Yarrawonga on Sunday, May 26, when they intercepted a 59-year-old Yarrawonga male driver at approximately 8:20 am. The driver provided a positive breath test and agreed to accompany police, where he returned a Breath Alcohol Concentration of 0.037. The driver had a condition of zero alcohol consumption due to his employment; therefore, he was in breach of this condition and received a penalty notice and a loss of license for three months.
