Roses are red, violets are blue … she usually loses lotto, but not this time, woohoo!
A Shepparton woman is set to receive a sweet Valentine’s Day gift, and it’s not coming in a heart-shaped box.
Instead, she will be unwrapping a $100,000 windfall after scoring the first-prize-winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11058, drawn on Friday, January 30, with her pay day falling perfectly on February 14.
“I’ve never won anything big,” she said.
“I usually play the regular games, but this is probably only my second Lucky Lotteries ticket. The biggest I’ve ever won before was about $200. This is a lot more than that.”
Talk about love at first draw.
The lucky local, who purchased her nine random numbers via The Lott app, said she planned to stash the prize safely in her retirement fund, though she admitted a little getaway might sneak into the budget too.
It seems this Valentine’s Day, true love isn’t the only thing in the air.
Luck is, too.
