Around 45 people gathered in the park, alongside committee members and Mitchell Shire Mayor John Dougall, for the unveiling of a new brochure.
The brochure covers the diverse features of the historic park.
“Since the last one was written, we’ve added new tracks and new points of interest around the park as well as a QR code,” committee member Sam Gaskell said.
“It highlights the multiple purposes of the park; we’ve got the ecological importance as a parkland, we’ve got the recreational space.
“Also, primarily, it’s an ex-military base — it’s where our original Anzacs trained.”
The Light Horse Park now has a fresh brochure.

Ms Gaskell said it was more difficult to decide what not to include in the brochure, given the many uses of the park.
“Because the park has so many uses, it was almost more important to decide what we were going to leave out,” she said.
“It was really tough to curate it down to really what the essence of the park is without being too verbose as well.”
The brochure was primarily written by committee member Lesley Dalziel, who also had a lot of input into which photos would be included.
The project was delivered with the support of Mitchell Shire Council, which has historically provided funding aid to the park.
Brochures are now being distributed around town, and can already be found at the Seymour Visitor Information Centre as well as at Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre.
