The only thing better than an ice-cold brew is knowing your pint is supporting a local business, and next month, beer lovers will have a chance to do just that at Two Lads Brewing’s inaugural Oktoberfest event.

With 14 taps, eight of which will be taken over, and a Bavarian feast, it’ll be unlike anything Moama has seen before.
Two Lads co-founder Cameron Sutton said he thought of the idea as a great opportunity to get all of the region’s brewers in the same room.

“Oktoberfest is a celebration of beer,” Mr Sutton said.
“This event will bring the whole community together, and hopefully do something really good for our industry.”
Brewers from Travla, Tocumwal Brewing, Palling Bros Brewery, Shepparton Brewery, Cornella Brewery, Decoy Brewing and Bendigo Brewing will bring “the closest thing they can have to a German-style beer”, with Two Lads creating a limited Oktoberfest pilsner for the event.

Tickets for the October 11 event will net attendees food, drinks and entertainment, with Mr Sutton not ruling out pulling on lederhosen himself.
“It’s not just beer on tap,” he said.
“We’ll have entertainment, competitions where people can win jugs of beer, dress-ups.
