If you’ve been to any one of the fantastic performances over the past 12 months, you’ve probably seen the club’s rock n roll dance group busting a move on the dance floor.
Well, now they’re offering classes for anyone who wants to be just as agile on the toes.
Starting next Monday, and running for six weeks, it is a beginner’s rock n roll class at the club.
Held at 6pm Mondays, you can learn a sequence of basic rock n roll moves that let you get on the floor and impress your friends.
For those who already know the basic steps and want to build on their skills, an intermediate rock n roll and partner program will be offered on Sunday evenings.
Also held from 6pm, these will start on April 26 and run for six weeks.

Bus stop moved
You may have noticed a new bus shelter pop up on Wood St, just off Hardinge St, in the past week.
It’s all part of the ongoing plan to improve safety on Hardinge St.
After upgrades to roadside water and drainage are completed, attention will turn to finalising plans to upgrade the road itself.
Plans - which are yet to be finalised - include placing more traffic islands along the stretch of the road and limiting where and when vehicles can stop on the roadside.
This has necessitated the relocation of the bus stop from its Hardinge St frontage to a space around the corner from the supermarket - but still in walkable distance.
This bus stop is used for the town drop off bus service.
There’s also a significant amount of ‘construction’ work going on in the usually empty block beside the supermarket complex.
This is all associated with the roadworks, and people are asked to be caution due to the extra traffic.
Library fun
It’s the last week of the Easter school holidays, and we’re sure our youngsters will be taking full advantage.
There’s a few different programs happening this week.
While some come at a cost, the activities at the Edward River Library at Deniliquin are available for free.
And there’s some varied workshops on officer.
Yesterday’s session was painting tote bags, and today it’s all about the library’s virtual reality system.
Available all day (and not just during the school holidays), you can book a 30 minute session.
Wednesday’s activity is rock art and Thursday is sand art, with sessions at 2pm and bookings required.
The Splat! art program will run all day Friday, and from 10am to noon on Saturday.
Book your child’s place by going into the library, calling 5898 3100 or email library@edwardriver.nsw.gov.au.
Winter’s coming
None of us can say that without a groan and thinking of a certain TV show that had the majority of the world gripped for several seasons, but it is on the way.
We don’t know about you, but a few of our staff members were forced to get the heaters and winter woolies out over the weekend.
Overnight temperatures have been getting cooler as the new season approached, but not our daily tops are starting to get a bit icy too.
The weekend was a test of our resolve, especially for those who were out and about for what was the opening round of football and netball for most local clubs, because of the cold and windy conditions.
Saturday so far holds the record for the lowest recorded low temperature for the month, with a low of 8.1℃ and a high of just 18.6℃. Wind speeds got up to 50km/h.
Sunday was slightly cooler during the day, with the mercury straining to get to 17℃ but wind speeds dropping back to 37km/h.
