Lake Eildon releases increased to 5000Ml

As of 10am, Wednesday, January 10, releases from Lake Eildon were increased from 3000Ml to 5000Ml a day.

Shepparton Incident Control Centre incident controller Ray Jasper has assured the Seymour residents that the releases would not impact river heights in town.

“The river will remain well below minor level (in Seymour),” he said.

The Goulburn River in Seymour peaked at 6.7m on Monday, January 8, due to heavy rains, which caused floods in the area.
