Deb Rowe, of Craft Junction in Sanger St, started her Kids Craft Club in 2024 to give the kids of Corowa with an artistic inclination a fun and creative after school activity where they can explore the world of arts and craft and learn a bevy of new skills.
Now in its second year, Deb says the Kids Craft Club has been host to a varying age of young kids up to about 12 years old.
“It’s open to kids of all ages,” Deb said.
“They’ve all been under 12 so far.
“Some of the girls are a little more advanced with their art skills than others, but they all just love it.”
While it is attended mostly by girls, boys are also welcome to come along and try their hand at a world of arts and craft activities such as drawing, painting, sewing, paper mache and much more.
Most of their work is taken home to adorn Mum and Dad’s walls, or take pride of place on the fridge, but some of these young artists are producing work that has won awards at the local Corowa show.
The Kids Craft Club runs from the second week of each school term until the school holidays at Craft Junction on Sanger St, Corowa.
Currently held from 3:45 to 4:45pm each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for groups of up to four at a time, Deb also has room to add Tuesday to the schedule pending interest.
The cost per child is $80 per term, including materials, and the government’s Creative Kids vouchers can be used to offset the cost.
