Kicking off the 11-and-under qualifying finals, the weather was a clear standout as the sun shone down on all the participants from six teams across the league.
We were unfortunate not to have any Seymour teams making the finals on our home ground this year, with the Under-11s just sitting below the top six and the under-16s coming in equal fifth and missing the top four, but that hasn't stopped the excitement as the finals hit town.
The construction of the second court has enabled us to fulfill our hosting duties right here in Seymour, and it was a buzz for the club to be able to show off our new facilities and bring back what junior netball had been lacking as the seven teams of Under-9s finished off the season with a five-game round-robin.

A beautiful day greeted us on Saturday as the Under-9s prepared for their five-game round robin.
It was bedlam at Kings Park with a lot of little excited netballers ready to take to the court.
Our girls played some of the best netball we have seen from them this year. The improvement in their game and teamwork has been a real pleasure to see.
Our two youngest players, Olivia and Tori, took to the court very gamely, putting into practice all they had learnt this season. Tori chased down any loose ball and both girls worked hard to defend against a bigger opposition in many of their games.
When at times the play got congested we could rely on Grace to make some fabulous leads and communicate to open up the play.
Isabel had some great play in centre-court and then progressed to the goal circle where she did some fabulous passing to her fellow attacker.
Lucy also had a really strong game in GA; she made some beautiful shots at goal and worked hard to get the ball down the court.
Lily also had a couple of great games in attack but against her advice we placed her in defence where she really shone, shutting down her attacker and getting a number of intercepts.
Ruth played her best games of the season. She stuck to her player and played the ball, resulting in a number of impressive intercepts.
Tilly was consistently strong as always. Her hard work on the court resulted in numerous turnovers and significantly reduced the opposition's chance of scoring.
Our pocket rocket Sienna in the midcourt was everywhere with her energetic play and ability to just keep moving at a fast pace.
The girls played so well as a team and maintained good sportsmanship and friendliness; they were a pleasure to coach.
Thank you to all their families for getting them to training and games throughout the season and helping out on game days.
We have enjoyed watching them develop as a team and look forward to seeing them next season.
