Junior Country Week kicks off for Seymour cricketers

The best of the best of Seymour and district junior cricket players have teamed up to take on rival associations in the Country Northern Rivers Junior Country Week, which kicked off on Monday.

Teams are playing several games over the four-day event, with the grade grand finals set to be played tomorrow.

The Seymour and District Cricket Association announced its three squads on December 28, which include:

Under 17s

Alexandra: Jordan Ferrier, Jacob Bourke; Broadford: Cody Ball, Cooper Mason; Eastern Hill: Regan Gardner, Zayde Wyatt; Kilmore: Pauly McDonald, Lachlan Partridge, Josh Squire, Corey Dennehy; Seymour: Nic Quigg.

Under 15s

Alexandra: Banjo Fitzpatrick, Leo Halford; Broadford: Daniel Meek, Riley Nolan; Eastern Hill: Josh Speechley, Ollie Munro; Kilmore: Kyle Mcnicholis, Xavier Stute, Darcy Christie, Hayden Proctor, Tom Manuel, Tom Archibald; Tallarook: Xavier Arandt.

Under 13s

Broadford: Josh Nolan; Eastern Hill: Charlie Dorria, Rory Kennedy, Jack Kennedy, Jet Wyatt; Kilmore: Zac Osmond, Rhys Ferraro, Matt Archibald, Darcy McNicholas, Sam MacBean, Harrison Purcell; Tallarook: Tarkyn Dundon.
