Everyone should take note of the new location for 2025.
Salvation Army officer Greg Turnbull said the event would feature live music, a sausage sizzle and refreshments.
Darren Sterling, another Salvation Army member, will lead the traditional carols.
He also mentioned the evening would include the animal nursery from Billabong Ranch.
Mr Turnbull emphasised the spiritual significance of the gathering.
“Christmas is important, putting Christ back into Christmas, getting people together,” he said.
“To get the Christmas message across that the greatest gift at Christmas time is Jesus.”
He noted Rochester's need for such community events.
“Rochester doesn't have anything being held in terms of Christmas carols and I think there needs to be something,” Mr Turnbull said.
The Salvation Army aims to continue this tradition in future years, with Mr Turnbull noting this is his first year organising the event at Rochester as it his first year with the Salvation Army in the area.
Previous members of the Salvation Army had organised Christmas carols at the Rochester silos in past years.
