Applications are now open for the LGBTIQA+ Advisory Committee at Greater Shepparton City Council, with community members, organisations and allies invited to join.

Since its formation, the committee has delivered several initiatives including the Pride flag installation, the Ruby Cow artwork, and town entry flags.
“Council has a range of advisory committees to provide the community with an opportunity to share advice, suggestions and feedback on topics they are passionate about,” City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said.
“I encourage residents to put their hand up to join a committee as it is a great opportunity to have your voice heard and help strengthen the region.”
“This committee provides a platform to make sure LGBTIQA+ voices and perspectives are heard and respected,” committee chair Cr Sam Spinks said.
The council welcomes applications from local LGBTIQA+ organisations, individuals who identify as LGBTIQA+ with strong community connections and LGBTIQA+ allies.
