As part of the Big Housing Build, the Victorian Government is building homes in Benalla West.
A Victorian Government spokesperson said it knows that the Benalla West community needs more high-quality social and affordable housing.
“Stage one of the Benalla West Big Housing Build project will deliver 48 new modern, accessible and energy-efficient homes,“ the spokesperson said.
The project includes 29 social and 19 affordable rental homes, in a mix of one, two and three bedrooms in a townhouse style.
As part of the project, Waminda Park will be upgraded to be more inclusive and accessible, including new play equipment for children.
