All students, from Prep to Year 6, were involved in the thrilling show, which followed the story of detectives Justin Case, played by Year 5 Beau Jeffrey, and Casey Closed, played by Year 5 Charlotte McMaster, as they work to solve the mystery of the school’s missing principal.
The entertaining production had students play their real teachers, as well as other students from the school.
Avenel Primary School Year 5 and 6 teacher Hayley Tobin said the hard work that went into the show definitely paid off.
“There was a lot of organising — it’s taken two terms and lots and lots of practice,” Ms Tobin said.
“It was amazing, it all came together with the sound, and the lights, and the dancing — it was incredible.
“The kids all pulled it off beautifully.”
The students were all smiles after their performances.

There were two runs of the show on Tuesday, June 24, giving the students a real taste of showbiz.
Lead character Beau said his favourite part of the performance was when his fellow castmate fell over.
Beau, who has experience playing piano, said he loved performing and was inclined to get involved in another future production.
“I thought it went really well,” he said.
Co-lead Charlotte said “just getting to do it” was her favourite part.
“It was really fun and I can’t wait to do another one,” she said.
“We were nervous, but everyone did it, and there was lots of clapping from the audience.
“It made me feel proud inside when they all clapped.”
Acting principal Christine Hyde was pleased with the show, and said the work that went into it should be celebrated.
“Hayley Tobin has done an amazing job putting the production together, as have all the staff,” Ms Hyde said.
“We have really fabulous kids, really kind, caring kids, and it’s just nice to see them come together as a community.
