Goulburn Options is a community-based organisation that provides disability support services.
The new space, located adjacent to the Goulburn Options offices on Station St, is six times the size of the previous space.
Outcomes manager Megan Montgomery and business manager Rebecca Staring had envisaged the art space for quite some time, hoping to expand the already successful art program.
The new space was approved in August 2021 and the team, under the lead of chief executive officer Melinda Burgess, went about turning the dream into a reality.
Mandy Gloede, who founded the art program in 2011, said that despite the opening being postponed due to the floods, they were thrilled to be holding their opening night.
“We are really looking forward to expanding the program and being able to give the participants new experience like sculptures and ceramics,” Ms Gloede said.
As well as works of art for sale, there are also mugs, calenders, cards and smaller paintings available for purchase.
