A fire that swept through Goomalibee on Thursday has claimed a house, farm sheds and thousands of hectares of cropping and grazing country.

The CFA attacked the outbreak in the Rural City of Benalla with regional volunteer brigades and aircraft tankers on Thursday during the day and night.
The fire, across Tarnook Rd and Kelliher Rd, was contained by Friday morning.
The CFA has brought in bulldozers, excavators and graders to be used to knock down any trees that may be dangerous as part of the mopping up process in areas where the fire has been.
Several haysheds were lost in the blaze and one CFA truck was damaged by a burn-under.
There were no reports of any injuries resulting from the fire.
