Held on Sunday, February 22, the event was attended by 64 golfers who enjoyed a fun day practising their skills.
Mother nature provided the perfect weather, with the rain only coming down at the very end of the event.
Players enjoyed complimentary food, and other refreshments from two barbecues set up on the course and a mobile drink service.
Men’s fours competition winners Jason and Rodney Scott, and Rodney and Rick Christenson.
Jason and Rodney Scott, and Rodney and Rick Christenson – all from Mooroopna – won the men’s fours competition.
The mixed fours was taken out by Darren Sielaff-Awty, Alyce and Andrew Awty, and Mitchell Baxter.
After the round, well-earned refreshments were had, raffles were drawn, prizes were presented, and an auction was carried out by past Rotary president Greg Byers.
Both Mr Byers and Rotarian Peter Holland thanked the community and Rotary members for their enthusiastic support and hard work in making the day the success it was.
They said all funds raised would go back to the local and broader community, including fire relief efforts and the Say No to Domestic Violence campaign.
The Rotary Club of Seymour would like to thank the sponsors who made the day possible with their generous donations, including StrathAyr, Drummond Golf and Tyrepower.
The club looks forward to welcoming golfers back next year for another Charity Golf Day at the picturesque Seymour Golf Club.
