The five-day acoustic music festival offers concerts, dozens of workshops and sessions, plus continuous jamming opportunities out of the Girgarre Hall.
The ever-popular Girgarre Farmers Market on Sunday will also feature non-stop music from visiting bands at no charge.
Muster director Jan Smith said for just a basic entry fee, there was a lot to offer.
“You only have to look at our program to see why we claim to be the most affordable and inclusive acoustic event around,” Jan said.
The festival showcases music styles ranging from bluegrass, folk, blues, jazz and country to Celtic and contemporary music.
Highlights include an opening night bush dance, multiple open mic opportunities, and a specialised ukulele program at a dedicated venue.
Workshop topics cover banjo, mandolin, guitar, tin whistle, bodhran and autoharp at various levels.
Other activities include come-and-try clogging, home recording sessions, harmony singing workshops and poetry circles.
Jan encourages everyone, even if they are just beginners, to have a go at the muster.
“The muster is for every age and every stage,” Jan said.
