Mitchell Shire Council’s Parks and Gardens team has finished its annual beds planting program.
Over the past few weeks, the team has been preparing five garden beds at four sites across the shire:
- Apex Park in Seymour (two beds)
- Hadfield Park in Wallan
- Hudson Park in Kilmore
- Memorial Park in Broadford
A total of 750 plants, including pansies, salvias and daisies, have been added to the garden beds.
The program involved soil preparation and fertilising, with planting timed to ensure the best seasonal impact.
The Parks and Gardens team will now begin preparing plant lists for infill planting and new garden beds, as well as mulching garden areas across the shire.
