Windows and doors were kept tightly shut for the day, until the clean-up operation was completed.
Even after removal of the offending matter, and the overturned trailer, the bad smell remained for some time.

About 50 Jerilderie seniors enjoyed activities in the Ian Gilbert room at the Civic Hall on Thursday last week, as part of Seniors Festival celebrations.
A lovely morning tea was provided, and a delicious lunch was enjoyed.
Ray McCartney’s music had the feet tapping, and a performance by the choir from St Joseph’s School was a delightful finale to the day’s activities.

The Rotary Men’s Health Education Rural Van (mherv) will be in Jerilderie again on Friday, May 23 from 9.30am to 4.15pm, and Saturday, May 24 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Operating for more than six years, the van has travelled regional and rural NSW offering free health check-ups to people “who haven’t seen the inside of a doctor’s room since they don’t remember when!”.
Aimed mainly at men, but women are welcome, the service is offered in a relaxed, confidential and informal setting.
The mherv registered nurse conducts the tests and discusses any health concern in the privacy of the van.
The last visit to Jerilderie unearthed a few conditions which required follow up with the GP, and maybe saved a life or two.
The van will be next to the vet clinic.
