From Friday, February 20 to Sunday, February 22, around 600 people are expected to make the trip to Elmore to enjoy a weekend of live music and socialising.
Lions Club of Elmore charity ball committee secretary Cobi Fitzpatrick said the event was a chance to mix and mingle with new people.
“I encourage people to come along,” he said.
“There are a few locals, but it’s actually funny how balls work. It appears that people travel further and don’t go to their local balls, they’d rather go to a ball that’s further away.
“The whole idea of these things is to get out there and meet new people and have fun.”
For the first time, gates will open on the Friday from 6pm to 11pm for visitors who wish to arrive early.
On Saturday morning, Elmore Lions Club members will fire up their grills at the gate to prepare egg and bacon sandwiches that can be purchased from 7am.
From 8am, visitors can spend the Saturday taking part in novelty events in the activity area and enjoy live music by the Boots N All band.
In the evening, attendees will return to their camps to don their formal wear and prepare for the ball at 8pm.
The Iain Archibald band, Benn Gunn and 3 Chain Road will keep the tunes flowing as guests dance under the stars until 1am.
Mr Fitzpatrick said the money raised during the weekend would help support the local community.
“We’re not for profit, so all the money goes back into the community once we’ve covered our costs,” he said.
“We’ve raised over $700,000 over our 20 years and given that back to the Elmore and surrounding communities.”
Those interested in attending are encouraged to purchase a ticket online, as strictly no tickets will be sold at the gate.
