World number three competitive eater James Webb will be in Shepparton on Friday.
The top-ranked Australian will be visiting Pizza Place and Acai Place on High St for an eating challenge beginning at noon.
Mr Webb holds Major League Eating records for eating 70 glazed doughnuts in eight minutes and 350 doughnut holes in eight minutes. He also holds Guinness World Records for eating nine soft shell tacos in one minute and eating 1kg of mozzarella with no hands.
However, it won’t be doughnuts or tacos on the menu this time.
Instead, he’ll be taking on one of Pizza Place’s supersized halal snack packs within a set time frame as well as some waffle sticks, acai and mocktails.

Pizza Place and Acai Place owner Mohamed Fatelawi has been trying to bring Mr Webb to Shepparton for over two years.
He said he was inspired by Mr Webb’s work because “it’s not something anyone can do”.
“It puts Shepparton on the map,” he said.
Mr Webb has competed in events in the United States, Japan, Singapore and Australia.
He said that being a competitive eater required a lot of preparation and “mental fortitude”.
“It’s not just turn up, eat food and leave,” he said.
He said competitions required up to three months of training as well as fasting for 24 to 48 hours before the event.
It’s a misconception that competitive eaters are unfit and overweight.
“I’m in the gym twice a day; you’ve got to be physically fit,” he said.
Despite the effort required, he is proud to represent Australia.
“It’s the best job in the world” he said.
“It’s an awesome life I lead.”
