Please find our responses relative to the notice of meeting and canal negotiations.
“At the request of the CEO I was asked to be a sounding board for canal negotiations”.
A functioning board uses its committees.
MIL has a Water Policy and Management Committee that was never engaged in this subject.
We need our committees to work hard and make recommendations to the board.
Unfortunately, this committee has only meet three times in the last year and 90 per cent of its actions were not completed by December 2023.
“I prepared some background notes on the current situation. At no stage did I state that $4 a megalitre is good value”.
In relation to the $4 fee, Robert said “Actually the numbers look quite good despite commentary otherwise but could be better”.
Robert we are here because a poor performing board has had two and half years to make them better but chose not to.
Our committees are subject experts and paid fees to take deep dives into complex matters and report to the board.
A yes vote is for accountability, transparency and hard work, make your yes vote count for a bright MIL future.
Yours etc.
