Exhibitors and their cattle have already started arriving for International Dairy Week at Tatura.

More than 1100 entries from all states of Australia are expected for the competition starting on Monday, January 19, until Thursday, January 22 in the arena at Tatura Park.
Other events will begin on Saturday and continue through to Sunday.
Monday will see the youth show, on Tuesday the Ayrshires, Guernseys and Brown Swiss will compete in the arena, Wednesday will be Jersey day and on Thursday a big crowd is expected for the Holsteins and judging of the grand champion of the week.
More than 60 dairy trade and business exhibitors will be participating, covering animal health, machinery, technology, nutrition and genetics.
Dairy Week director Declan Patten said this year’s competitors will see the new, red hued soft-fall material on the main arena, designed to add some colour and reduce dust.
Paraders will be wearing their numbers on harness vests, similar to overseas dairy shows, rather than caps, and some exhibitors will be staying in ‘glamping’ tents.
Mr Patten said the weather was expected to be mild, according to the weather bureau.
Some Dairy Week patrons will be trying glamping this year.
