Cosgrove Landfill to accept bulk quantities of concrete and bricks

Managing bulk concrete and brick loads through Cosgrove Landfill will improve management of silica dust exposure and reduce interactions between bulk waste and individual contractors.

Greater Shepparton City Council director infrastructure Aidin Montazami said the change would improve service delivery and support resource recovery outcomes across the region.

“The relocation of bulk concrete and brick disposal to Cosgrove Landfill provides a dedicated and efficient location for residents, businesses and contractors to dispose of these materials while ensuring they are managed in a safe and sustainable way,” he said.

The Shepparton Resource Recovery Centre will continue to accept concrete and brick waste; however, from January 2027, customers will be limited to 0.5 cubic metres.
