From knapsacks and beaters in 1910, through to today’s modern four-wheel drive tankers and firefighting equipment, members have fought fires locally and beyond.
Most recently the brigade was deployed to the Longwood fires in January.
Captain Jason Watts said he had been with the brigade for about 18 years.
“Celebrating 115 years is a really proud moment for the brigade,” Mr Watts said.
“The brigade wouldn’t be here today without the countless people who have contributed over the years — in big ways and small.
“Every effort, every hour volunteered and every act of service has helped shape who we are today.
“I encourage people to reach out to their local brigade; not everyone has to hop on to a fire brigade and drive off — there are opportunities for everyone to give back to their local community.”
Members were joined on Sunday, March 15, by their families, friends, CFA District 22 assistant chief fire officer Rohan Taylor, Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria district chairperson Paul Verbeek, City of Greater Shepparton Deputy Mayor Geoff Akers and state Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe.
During the event, service medals were awarded to Colin Jeffery for 60 years, John Mason for 50 years, Peter Jeffery and Noel O’Sullivan for 40 years, Stef Close for 25 years and Darren Cook for 15 years.
