The Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn held its annual changeover dinner on Tuesday, June 3 at the Seymour Bowls Club.

Incoming president Regina Young said the evening was an important event on the Lions Club calendar, with the focus being the induction of the new board for 2025-26.

“The new board was inducted by the Lions district governor, Kim Low,” she said.
“The mayor of Mitchell Shire, John Dougall, was in attendance to offer his support to the Lions Club.”
Also present were members of the Rotary Club of Seymour, the Lions Club of Euroa and family and friends of members of the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn.

“District governor Kim Low presented certificates to three Lions members in recognition of their years of service,” Ms Young said.
“The evening’s theme was ‘Gotta be in it to win it’, with lots of lucky prizes handed out throughout the night.”

At the dinner, the Lions Club presented donations to a number of grant recipients, with representatives from Seymour Field and Game, Seymour College Cafe, Light Horse Memorial Park, Eastern Hill Cricket Club and Seymour Community House attending.

Representatives from Seymour Railway Heritage were a late apology, and unfortunately could not attend.
“The Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn is looking forward to another busy year raising funds and serving the community,” Ms Young said.
