Officially called the Community Santa Photo Afternoon, the event came together from a simple vision.
That was to create an affordable, welcoming Christmas experience for local families who might otherwise miss out.
The event was driven by Community House manager Larissa Lambert.
She said it was planned and delivered in just under two weeks.

“It was a fast turnaround, driven by heart, community need and a belief that something meaningful could be created when people come together,” she said.
“Seeing the turnout was incredibly moving.
“What began as a small idea quickly became a beautiful example of community connection, with smiles, laughter and a strong sense of belonging throughout the day.”
There was plenty for families to enjoy on the day, including face-painting, a sausage sizzle, a raffle, popcorn station and of course, the chance to get a photo with, and a gift from, Santa.
Ms Lambert said the event would not have been possible without incredible support from the community house’s volunteers and committee.
As well as the generosity of local supporters including Seymour Party Hire and Bunnings.
“And there were many amazing small businesses who kindly donated,” Ms Lambert said.
“Moments like this are a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose, and we look forward to continuing this as an annual community event.”
