Two grass fires and a motor vehicle accident have kept firefighters busy in the Southern Riverina.

On Friday, May 2, the Berrigan Rural Fire Service attended a grass fire on Kennedy’s Rd with one truck and crew about 4.30pm.
The small grass fire was extinguished shortly after they arrived, with firefighters on site until about 5.30pm.
Earlier the same day, Berrigan RFS members were called to assist with a traffic incident on Frank Dr, Yarrawonga, caused by a collision with a kangaroo.
The driver was not injured, and Berrigan firefighters left the scene about 2pm.
The Berrigan RFS was called to another grass fire on the Mulwala-Barooga Rd, about 1.30pm Sunday, May 4.
