Berrigan Shire Council Mayor Matt Hannan said the region was already busy, with campers along both sides of the river last weekend.
“This Easter is a welcome blessing to us, after a really difficult Christmas with some parts of the river still closed (because of the floods in late 2022),” he said.
“There are plenty of activities on for any punters that want to come and experience what we have. From the races, to footy to the rodeo, it’s going to be a bumper weekend.”

If a quieter Easter is your thing, pop down to the Tocumwal Foreshore Markets on Sunday where more than 200 stallholders are expected to showcase local products including fresh fruit and veggies, plants, jewellery, ceramics and art.

“It will be great to welcome back past residents, visitors and our neighbouring regions as well.”
