Body found in car

Police were notified at about 5.30am on Monday and the area between Evelyn and Tower streets on Guy Street was closed and a crime scene established.

Police from NSW and Victoria are assisting with the investigation.

The man had not been identified and a police spokesperson said a post-mortem would be conducted to determine the cause of death.

The car is believed to be registered in Victoria.
