President Vivian Beaumont and secretary Pam Beerens welcomed over 80 volunteers and sponsors back to Kings Park recently to thank them for all they did to make the 2025 Annual Seymour Show an outstanding success.
Representatives of the horses, beef and dairy cattle, alpacas, poultry, art and pavilion were present, including those that conducted the yard dog trials.
Special guests were committee members of Tastes of the Goulburn, which is strongly associated with the Ag Society.
The dinner was an enormous success, with JBL doing the catering and ensuring that all were well fed.
Guests were addressed by the president, who thanked all for their assistance and encouraged their continued involvement with the society for the 2026 show on October 2 and 3 next year.
Presentations were made to four individuals who have given significant service to the Seymour Show over many years and are now stepping back to allow new volunteers to take on their roles at the Seymour Show.
Ron Holden received a certificate recognising over 40 years’ service to the show, the society and the Victorian Wine Awards.
John Munckton received a certificate thanking him for over 40 years’ service to the show and the society, including time as president and main arena announcer at the show.
Coral Cole received a certificate acknowledging over 20 years’ service to the show and the society, particularly in the plants and flowers section, and the produce section of the show.
Ann Davidson received a certificate thanking her for over 10 years’ service to the show and the society, including a year as president and supporting Coral Cole in the plants and flowers, and produce sections.
