The cost of the screw exchange was a small donation with all monies going to the Tungamah Social Club Good Friday Appeal.
With the expertise and tools from Tungamah Garage mechanic Michael Barry, Leading Senior Constable Scott Miller from Tungamah and Senior Constable Chris Westrope from Katamatite had tools at hand and were ready, willing and able to swap over plate screws.
Dave and Dave from the SES were also on deck to help out at this community event. The Tungamah Social Club provided a BBQ and cold drinks for those who came along to the Lions Park.
Those who attended enjoyed the chance to donate to a worthy cause and catch up with people for a chat.
Tungamah Social Club President Greg Ford expressed his gratitude to all who supported the exchange especially Scott, Chris, Dave, Dave and Michael.
“We are blessed to have such a supportive community and I am proud to be a part of it and appreciate the ongoing support this little town gives the Tungamah Social Club,” Mr Ford said.
