Librarian Robyn Steele said students had ongoing opportunities to request new titles to add to the diverse and stimulating range of resources, helping to foster a love of reading.
‘‘Our two libraries are much-loved spaces widely used for student borrowing, literacy sessions, class work and special events,’’ Ms Steele said.
The college’s inclusive education department has been busy, with plenty of activities happening across the region.
Students attended Government House as part of the vegetable garden scarecrow project, they have been participating in the Riding for the Disabled program and went to Benalla for the All Ability Northern Region soccer day.
Assistant principal Stephen Garner said one of the most important areas of a child’s education was their assimilation into their wider environment.
‘‘Schools from Cobram, Wodonga, Seymour and Wangaratta all participated in the soccer day. We had glorious weather, fierce competition and lots of fun,’’ Mr Garner said.
‘‘Goals were scored in each game. The team named themselves the Seymour Sharks and on more than one occasion the supporters yelled ‘eat them alive’.
‘‘Our senior students have also been busy visiting local businesses like Strathayr as part of their learning.’’
