Seymour returned from it’s bye with another victory in A-grade netball against the Shepparton Swans, 43-16, at Princess Park.

July 27
A new youth room was opened in Seymour on Tuesdays, offering a fitness program, hangout area and snacks.
Tallarook’s Our Freinds Farm reopened after five years and a change of hands.

August 3
A vehicle crashed into Kemps furniture store, causing significant damage to the shop front.

Seymour football export David Mundy announced his retirement after a 19-year career with the Fremantle Dockers.

August 10

The Lions’ netballers also bounced back with a win over Euroa, 43-34.
August 17
The Nationals announce Annabelle Cleeland as candidate for the seat of Euroa.
The Seymour Blasters celebrated their 50-year anniversary.
August 24
Seymour commemorated Vietnam Veterans Day with a service.
A firepower demonstration was held a Puckapunyal.
The Colmont School’s closure highlighted the school shortage in the region.
Seymour secured a 53-point win over Tatura, keeping its GVL football finals hopes alive.
August 31
Seymour FM conducted work on its new station headquarters with help from some Broadford Secondary College students.

October 5
The rain cleared and the sun shone as Seymour Show returned after a COVID-19 enforced break.
The Coalition promised a $3.2 million rebuild for Seymour Football Netball Club’s rooms if it succeeded at election time.

October 12
A Hilldene war veteran faced a $250,000 bill to remove tyres dumped at his property.
The Australian Lighthorse Park in Seymour received $405,000 for upgrades.

October 19
Seymour faced record flooding, reaching 8.37 metres in the early hours of Friday, October 14. People took shelter in the evacuation centre and community flood meetings were held.
Seymour Football Netball Club played a crucial role in co-ordinating volunteers and starting the immediate flood clean-up.
October 26
Community spirit came to the fore as the flood clean-up continued.
The levy for flood waste was scrapped and emergency workers, volunteers and community groups banded together to help those affected.
November 2
The Federal Government released its budget, promising more affordable housing in regional areas.
Victorian Premier Dan Andrews made an unofficial visit to Seymour to inspect the impact of the floods.
Businesses began to re-open.
The SDCA was washed out for the fourth week in a row.
November 9
Kings Park was locked down while council conducted safety assessments. The 18 user groups of the park inspected the damage to their club rooms and records.
Pyalong resident Moira Wayne received a Premier’s Award for senior of the year for her work with drought-stricken farmers.
As it became clear Kings Park would be shut for summer, alternative arrangements were made for summer sports.
November 16
A ceremony was held at the World War I Memorial Park to commemorate Remembrance Day.
An Avenel man was jailed over shooting two bullets in to the home of his ex-wife’s new partner.
The North Central Review held an election candidates forum in Seymour to discuss election topics.
Seymour Racecourse opened its doors on Friday, November 11, for the first meet in more than two years.
November 23
For the first time in history, Mitchell Shire elected a female mayor, Fiona Stevens, and deputy mayor, Louise Bannister.
Seymour Blasters’ men’s and women’s teams recorded big wins against the Wangaratta Warriors.
November 30
Labor won the state election. Annabelle Cleeland claimed the seat of Euroa, with the Nationals receiving 62 per cent of the two-party preferred vote.
Seymour bowler Alison Hall received a Victoria Medal as best player in the 2022 Victorian Open.
After a nearly two-month delay, SDCA A-grade action got under way with Eastern Hill beating Seymour at Bennet Oval.
December 7
Norma Court celebrated her 100th birthday at Karingal with family and fellow residents.
St Mary’s Year 6 students helped 76-year-old Kyria Crombie clean up the flood damage in her backyard.
Liverpool Football Club and Assumption College teamed up to offer the first Liverpool FC Academy in Victoria.
