There was a plethora of food delights at the Fryers St Food Festival this year as food stalls vied to win over customers to try their food.

Murchison resident Robyn Barbeur was serving an array of vegetarian and vegan spring rolls to her happy customers.
Flavours included pizza and curry, as well as banana and chocolate.
She said the ingredients were all locally sourced.
“We have vegan and vegetarian spring rolls on offer, with all the vegetables locally sourced from Ryan’s Fruit and Veg. It is great to showcase our food,” Mrs Barbeur said.
She said she loved the Fryers St Food Festival and it was her fourth time being a part of the event.

A few stalls down, Helwe Lebanese Sweets owners Zahra and Saeed Helwe, from Roxburgh Park, were offering a variety of homemade Lebanese sweets to the crowd.
Mrs Helwe said all the recipes for the sweets came from their home country of Lebanon.
“All the recipes go back to our time in Lebanon and we have perfected each recipe from scratch,” she said.
She said the couple couldn’t wait to come back to Shepparton once the Fryers St Food Festival was welcoming vendor applications.

“We love going across the regions and showcasing our food and culture and we were so excited the event was taking place this year,” she said.
Mrs Helwe said their baklava matched it with the best of the best and they were looking forward to coming back to Shepparton for many years to come.
“We keep our baklava recipe a secret because it is so good and I think we can challenge for the best baklava,” she said.
“We are looking forward to come back to Shepparton for more food festivals in the future“.
