The clinic is one of five vaccination sites led by Goulburn Valley Health, with Seymour Health eager for all community members to understand the beneficial reasons for receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.
“We are excited that we can now offer community members aged from 40 to 59 years the opportunity to be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccination at our health service,” director of clinical services Anne Daley said.
Seymour Health chief executive Ward Steet said the health service’s COVID-19 vaccine team has been working diligently in the lead up to opening to the community by ensuring staff have been vaccinated.
“We anticipate that there will be significant interest from Seymour and surrounding communities regarding the COVID-19 vaccine launch and we will endeavor to keep the community informed throughout the vaccine rollout period,” he said.
Seymour Health will be administering the Pfizer vaccine only at this stage. It is important for people to find out their eligibility for the vaccination, which can be done by using the Australian Government’s COVID-19 vaccine eligibility checker at covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility
By getting vaccinated, you are protecting your health, and helping protect your family, friends and community.
The COVID-19 vaccines are free, safe and voluntary. The more people who are vaccinated, the greater the protection for those vaccinated and the whole community.
People who are currently eligible to receive a COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine should make an appointment to receive their vaccination at Seymour Health by calling 5735 8033.
