Several 'seriously injured' after school bus rolls

Ambulance Victoria said paramedics are on scene and prioritising their patients.

Victoria Police said a school bus had rolled over.

"It's understood several people have been seriously injured," a spokesperson said in a statement.

Local media have reported a student on the bus has died but this is yet to be confirmed by authorities.

Victoria's Transport department reported the Hamilton Highway closed in both directions between Burnside Road and Friend-In-Hand Road "due to a serious collision".

"The closure is under the control of Victoria Police."
