Marvin Oraiha was shot dead in the driveway of his Elizabeth Hills home on May 22.
Officers found him with several gunshot wounds and he died at the scene.
A short time later, two cars linked to the crime were found burnt out at nearby Green Valley and Bonnyrigg Heights.
Task Force Magnus, established by NSW Police to target gun-related violence in Sydney, has been investigating the murder.
Five people have already been charged and remain before the courts.
About 6am on Thursday, officers searched a Marsden Park address where they arrested a 28-year-old man.
He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and charged with six offences, including two counts of accessory before the fact to destroy or damage property, two counts of knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime with intent to conceal and three counts of recklessly dealing with the proceeds of crime.
Police allege he was involved in stealing, co-ordinating and destroying two cars used in the fatal shooting.
He appeared in Mt Druitt Local Court on Thursday and was refused bail.
Police have released CCTV of a black Toyota Kluger which was seen driving past Oraiha's house in the hours before the shooting.
Detectives have called on anyone who may have information about the whereabouts or occupants of the car to contact them.
