Tatura residents and council representatives have raised concerns following ongoing vandalism at public toilet facilities, including at Stuart Mock Place and Mactier Gardens.
In May, Tatura residents took to social media once again after another act of vandalism at the Stuart Mock Place public toilets followed more instances of damage to other community assets.

India Weston from Tatura posted on the Facebook Tat Local Community Page expressing her concerns about the ongoing matter.
“This is now happening weekly in Tatura, and people who need these facilities and depend upon them cannot use them,” she said.
“It’s just disgusting and we have all had enough.”
Other community members commented on the issue, saying it was completely unacceptable and was becoming far more frequent.
Greater Shepparton City Council shared its disappointment on the vandalism at the Mactier Gardens public toilets in Tatura, with Mayor Shane Sali saying these types of actions were deeply disappointing.
“Council teams are working to resolve the damage as quickly as possible to ensure these facilities remain accessible to the community,” he said.
“Public infrastructure is there for everyone to use and enjoy, and vandalism not only creates inconvenience, but also results in unnecessary costs to ratepayers.”
Cr Rod Schubert, Midland Ward, said he too was disappointed by the continued vandalism in Tatura.
“The recent vandalism and damage to public toilets in Tatura, including facilities at Mock Place, Mactier Gardens and Tatura Park, is extremely disappointing and unacceptable,” he said.
“Adding to the frustration, vandals have again stolen the Australian flag from Mactier Gardens — an act that is both disrespectful and deeply disappointing to the wider community.
“These facilities are used by families, sporting groups, visitors and local residents, and the damage has resulted in several toilets becoming inoperable while repairs are undertaken.”
Council is calling on members of the public to come forward with any information about past incidents or who observes illegal behaviour is urged to contact Tatura Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
