The Kyabram Town Dinner will provide a formal prelude to the townwide Big Birthday Bash on Friday, October 23.
Organiser Peter Nelson said the idea for the dinner came from a former mayor who suggested creating something a little more formal for the 150-year milestone.
“We thought this was an opportunity to formally sit down and recognise people from the past and a few past histories as well,” Mr Nelson said.
One of the evening’s highlights will be a Q&A session featuring past mayors of Kyabram including Kevin Andrews, Frank Findlay, Clive Toms, Chris Salter, John Neale and John Elborough.
The former town leaders will share memories, reflections and highlights from their time in office.
State Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh will also take the stage to present on what it is to be a good citizen and also discuss Kyabram’s legacy in Victorian political history.
The event will take place at the Kyabram Club on Wednesday, October 14, with doors opening at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
Tickets are priced at $50 per person and bookings close on Wednesday, October 7.
