Logan Prout was lethal by foot moving the football at 93% from his 18 disposals, while Bailey Gray was instrumental in keeping the clamps on Magpies goal-kicker Jett Trotter.
Ruory Kirkby popped up with another four goals and equal team high eight marks alongside his partner-in-crime Dan Willis, who collected three goals, 16 disposals, and five inside-50 marks.
Jack McHale (20 disposals, 11 contested possessions) and Sam Willoughby (21 disposals, 10 tackles) also logged some admirable performances in a midfield masterclass.
But perhaps the most complete performances came from the on-ball duo of Mitch Wales and Murray Bombers’ co-coach Andrew Walker.
Wales picked up 26 disposals in his return game, with 16 uncontested possessions highlighting his importance on the outside of the contest.
Pair that with seven marks and eight ground-ball gets, and it’s clear this was a busy game for the young Echuca midfielder.
As for his coach, his class was once again evident.
Averaging 28 disposals for the year, Walker collected 22 against the Magpies to go with eight clearances, five marks and 13 contested possessions
In his fifth year back in the GVL, Walker shows no signs of slowing down and continues to be a key cog in the Murray Bombers’ engine room.
