Young readers and their families gathered at Shepparton Library for storytime, singing songs about nature before setting off on a nature walk to the Goulburn River across the road, blending storytelling with hands-on exploration.

Guided activities encouraged participants to discover nature, observe their surroundings and engage their senses, from what they could hear and see to the scents along the way.
Curiosity was sparked through learning and play, with children taking part in activities that connected storytelling themes to the environment around them.
Time together outdoors offered families a relaxed and welcoming way to combine literacy with the natural world.
