Murray Dairy is asking farmers to provide an insight into their farming operation and identify top priorities for research, development, and extension for the region by participating in a 10-minute research and development online survey.
The purpose of the survey is to gain understandings into the challenges, opportunities and needs of farmers in the region for future research, development and extension strategies.
Questions cover the context of the farm, strategies for different themes and threats or opportunities that are identified for each theme.
Farmers are only required to complete the theme that they feel is most important.
The results of the survey will be used to update the Murray Region Future Focus Strategy and feed into planning for future projects and investments such as Dairy Feedbase.
A similar approach was conducted several years ago and resulted in a strategy document called Future Focus, published in 2019.
The purpose of this survey is to track any changes in the three years since that document was published, including what is still significant from the original strategy, and also to identify any gaps that need to be addressed.
