“This year’s Vesak Day celebration in Shepparton was a truly memorable occasion, marking the 10th year of the event with warmth, reverence and strong community spirit,” he said.
“The reception was overwhelmingly positive, with participation from local leaders, dignitaries and community members from diverse backgrounds.
“What pleased me most was seeing people from all walks of life come together in a shared moment of peace, reflection and cultural appreciation.
“The lighting of candles and lanterns, symbolic of wisdom and compassion, was particularly moving and served as a beautiful reminder of the values that unite us all.
“The event not only honoured Buddhist traditions but also highlighted the inclusiveness and harmony that define our multicultural region.“
